Blossom was all about the do-good, American Heroes.

Buttercup loved the edgy heroes with dark pasts and complex morals.

Bubbles knew Japanese well enough to read and understand comic books from Japan intended for her age group. That’s actually very impressive, but then again, this is the girl who can speak squirrel.

I think you mean “Bubbles was a fucking weeb”

there’s no such thing as being fake queer or fake trans because these things are defined wholly by self-identification and behavior. if you want to be queer or trans but aren’t sure if you’re real enough, congratulations, you’re already there.

the big secret is that almost everyone is afraid of being fake.

this is because there is a very powerful impetus from the rest of the world that wants you to believe that you are not fundamentally queer/trans and that therefore you should forego these things and just be “normal”.

this is of course a miserable way to exist, and embracing agency in being queer or trans is one of the most fulfilling things you can do

fun things to do in front of nerdy boys

intentionally mix up zelda and link
mispronounce “anime”
refer to anime as “japanese kids cartoons”
pronounce pokemon as pokey-mon
respond to everything they say with “oh yeah my baby brother likes that!”

I am a nerdy boy and I assure you the only reactions you would get from this are crying or outbursts of rage

you act like your tears aren’t EXACTLY what i want

Of course it’s incredibly important to support women in media. But a work that elevates a woman by degrading or stereotyping oppressed groups just furthers oppression.

Yes, there is not enough representation for women in media. That’s still not an excuse to support racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia. We can do better and it’s not going to happen if studios and publishing houses think that they can just throw a white woman into the lead and have people support it because “at least there’s a female lead.”

Don’t support a work simply because there’s a female lead. Support it because it has genuine diversity and treats ALL of its characters like people instead of cardboard cutouts.

my life got about a thousand times better once i stopped censoring myself

and by censoring i don’t mean i suddenly embraced indiscriminate swearing; i mean i stopped trying to sugarcoat my past or my feelings; i stopped lying by omission; i stopped having guilty pleasures; i began unabashedly enjoying whatever i liked; i became very honest; i cut out of my life poisonous people and negative ideals, and i am so, so much happier for it

Yet they claim that the queer community is overly sexual and puts our sex lives out there. Straight people are weird.
